The Old City Waterworks building was completed in the 1920s and served as the first municipal water supply for the City of Tallahassee. In 1958 production was abandoned and the location was left vacant. Three buildings on the property were listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. After nearly 70 years of neglect, the adaptive reuse project for a brewery and taproom was completed in late 2023. Prior to, few people had ever stepped foot in this iconic piece of architectural history. Today, Amicus Brewing Ventures is proud to welcome everyone in to enjoy a nice, cold, craft beer or beverage and appreciate the reclaimed historical space.

A great brewery located right next to Cascades Park. They host trivia on Thursdays, which is always a fun and lively time. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere inside is comfortable. They will also have different food trucks on-site, which keeps the food options diverse. Definitely worth checking out!

By far our favorite brewery in town! No matter where we plan on going, we always end up at Amicus! Everyone is always so kind, every drink is delicious, and you can't beat the comfortable atmosphere.

Amicus is our favorite brewery in town! The ambience is great: cool outdoor space and a beautifully converted historic building. Everyone who works there is friendly, and the atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming. Food trucks and events vary, so there is always something interesting going on. The Fuggles English Dark Mild is great, but if you are lucky enough to see Vacay Fuggles (with coconut & vanilla) in a limited appearance, I highly recommend it! They also have non-alcoholic beverages so there is something for everyone.
